Subject: Great recording!
This is a soundboard recording from The El Rey Theater in Los Angeles, CA. It's a tiny (~500 person) venue at a time when they were still 'indie' and haden't hit it big yet. Really great stuff here! The soundboard has Ben (the lead singer)'s vocals too high and the drumms to low at first, but that gets worked out after a few songs. I don't know DCFC's music too much, just that it is "all good". I couldn't tell you the names of their songs or albums, but I just really enjoy their tunes. I put this show on and just did some work on the computer. great background tunes. Ben doesn't talk much between songs, but he does thank the opening band "The Dismemberment Plan" a few times. Also opening was "Aveyo" from seattle. He also urges the reps from Capitol Records who were in the audience to check out the new Jimmy Eat World album. Apparently Ben was violently sick before this show and 'projectile vomitted' about 10 minutes before going on stage. What a pro! Even though he is really sick he sounds like a million bucks. My favorite song of the show is "why you'd want to live here". "All is full of love" is a great Bjork cover that the band does as the encore. Plus you can stream the show to listen without downloading. great stuff. Grab this one!
